DIMA offers a series of manually operated printers designed for stencil or screen printing solder paste, glue and other products onto printed circuit boards and other substrates. The combination of the special pressure spreading mechanism with linear guidance greatly improves the accuracy of printing.
The printer can handle screen and stencil frames up to 23 inches but can be adjusted for smaller frames. Stencils allow smaller openings than screens and are therefore better suited for printing solder cream in SMT applications. The SP-500 is partly constructed from stainless steel to make cleaning easy. The rigid construction guarantees years of trouble free printing The highly accurate stencil printer SP-500 offers X-Y and Theta adjustments, making it suitable for fine pitch printing.
Operation
Place the printed circuit board into the printer, align the stencil/screen with the pattern on the printed circuit board using the adjustment controls for X, Y and Theta. Adjust the height, place some solder paste on the back side of the stencil, and squeeze it across the stencil/screen by pulling the squeegee on the handle to the front. The squeegee will automatically tilt in the right position and the levelling mechanism will make sure the pressure is even all over the squeegee. Remove the printed circuit board from the base plate and the operation is now complete.
Options
Stencil and screen frames and squegee have to be ordered separately. The printer comes with a stencil frame holder. Additional items like squegee, spare squeegee blades, stencil frames and special fixtures have to be ordered separately.
