The Solano convection oven is DIMA’s answer to demanding LEAD FREE production processes. Special designed process chambers transfer the heat with a minimum of stress for the components. Even with lead free applications temperatures stay below the critical component temperatures. This model is equipped with an additional edge conveyor.

The process chambers allow exact control of each cell and guarantee a uniform airflow across the board. Due to the construction of the heating cell, maximum stability under varying loads is ensured. The rapid response heaters give uniform heating and consistent results. All heating zones, top and bottom, are separately controlled by a built in microprocessor controller with graphic display allowing you to plot temperature profiles on screen. The optional windows based PC software, informs you of the status of all controls. The cooling cell is placed at the right side of the process chamber, A built- in Ionising unit protects the PCB for static charges. The Solano is a freestanding unit.

Boards are transported through the oven on a high-grade stainless steel mesh belt or on the integrated edge conveyor meeting the mechanical SMEMA specification.

A build in filtration system takes flux rests out of the exhaust air preventing the oven from getting dirty at the inside.

The process chamber is divided into 4 sections both at the top and bottom. At the top two preheat, one soak and one reflow zone is heated and on the bottom only the soldering zone is heated. All chambers are heated by circulating hot air. Temperature differences between two sections can be varied by up to 140 degree Celsius. The unique cell design reduces temperature differences across the PCB drastically.

A LCD control panel with integrated display unit offers complete access to profiling information displaying up to 99 zone profiles, together with full machine operation function keys.

Optional Windows based software allows the operator to connect a personal computer to the oven making it possible to store additional programs, and profiles, enabling the operator to analyse process information making comparisons between profiles and ultimately producing the printed documentation for quality assurance. Real time temperature profiling on the PC. Several different windows showing profiles can be opened at the same time for comparison.
