The Big Dipper semi-automatic soldering system completely solders entire PC boards. The microprocessor controller makes consistant and high quality soldering easy by prompting the operator throughout the entire process.
Key features:
Articulated dipping movement (see process diagram below)
3 stage timed process includes: flux cycle, preheat cycle, and solder cycle
Microprocessor control with LCD display
12 menu storage
Flux station with flux drain
Stainless steel solder pot
Pallet with adjustable titanium fingers hold PCBs
Big Dipper Operation:
Audible beeps prompt operator to move to each stage
1. Place PCB in the pallet.
2. Place pallet on the trolley.
3. Operator slides PCB to flux position.
4. Operator slides PCB to preheat position.
5. Operator slides PCB into solder dip position.
6. Operator slides PCB to home position for offload.
NOTE: The trolley rides on cammed tracks which smoothly 'articulate' it from side to side as well as vertically. This assures that no air bubbles will be trapped under the PCB.
