Ease of use, ergonomics and price performance were the main criteria when developing the Fineline modules. Modules can be combined to create a simple unit where components are placed using a vacuum pipette. The FP-600 is equiped with a dispenser

The FP-600 is a manual system with an integrated dispense unit, for SMT prototype printed circuit board assembly. It combines all features of today’s manual pick and place machines in one system. The FP-600 is equipped with the DIMA Easyglide™X, Y guiding system that allows exact positioning of the pick and place head. The Sensatip™pick and place head ensures that even difficult components can be picked just by touching the component. The unit is equipped with a rotating PCB holder, a large arm rest, a carousel, a carousel cover and an adaptor for tape or stick feeders.

Control unit
All required controls are housed in the centre of the Fineline. This brings all controls within reach of the operator and informs the operator about the status of the Fineline.

Pick and place head
The pick and place head movement is extremely light and its ergonomic design ensures relaxed placing of components without having to force your hand into an uncomfortable position. The adjustable vacuum is automatically switched on and off by touching the component with the nozzle, pick and place nozzles can easily be changed without tools and components can be rotated over 360 degree.

Dispensing Unit
The integrated dispensing unit allows you to dispense solder cream, SMD adhesive, solder-mask and several other products. A digital timer combined with precision air pressure regulation, guarantees an exact and repeatable dot size. For liquids with a low viscosity the dispensing unit is equipped with a barrel vacuum that avoids leaking of dispensing fluid. The dispenser is equipped with an automatic repeat function that avoids having to press the foot pedal for every dot.

Carrousel
The carrousel offers place for 45 bins. Normally the unit comes with 25 one compartment C-mos bins and 25 two compartment C-mos bins ( other combinations are possible). This allows you to store up to 90 different components in one carrousel. Carrousels can be changed without tools. The carrousel is covered with a conductive clear PVC cover that opens only one bin to avoid components to fall into another bin.

PCB holder
To enable a quick changeover, the PCB is supported by a series of magnetic blocks. This allows strategic positioning, especially useful when placing double sided PCB. The PCB can rotate over 360 degree. This allows you to support even very strange shapes of boards and to rotate them in every angle which can be very profitable for repairs or difficult dispensing jobs.

Arm rest
The triangular arm rest allows you to rest your whole arm when placing a component. This not only makes accurate placing of components possible but also covers the part of the PCB you are not working on so that you can not damage the dispensed pattern with your clothes.
